Mrs. Hookway, Elizabeth and Arthur wish to thank the members and friends of our church for al the kind expressions of loving sympathy we received during this period of bereavement, and for all the beautiful tokens of affection you sent to Pastor Hookway, throughout his years of illness and affliction. Surely God has been our Refuge and Strength in these days of trouble, and we have felt his everlasting arms underneath and around us. The prayers of our beloved church and community were mightily answers. We experienced the truth of Pastor Hookway's favorite verse: "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee." We thank God for him and for you who loved and cherished him, sacrificed with him and for him. More than ever we reverence his Beloved Master and pray God to help us to follow Him as our Leader, until the end.
